Robert D. Isaacs, DDS*
Dr. Robert D. Isaacs has been practicing orthodontics since 1986. Dr. Isaacs is a proud native of Baltimore County. He started his education at Pleasant Plains Elementary School in Towson at its grand opening! Dr. Isaacs is a graduate of Gilman School, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Dental School, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He remained at Maryland Dental School to complete his certificate training in orthodontics. Upon graduation, Dr. Isaacs was awarded The Daniel Sheehan Award of Achievement of Academic and Clinical Excellence in the Field of Orthodontics. Dr. Isaacs is also a member of both OKU and Phi Kappa Phi national honor societies, as well as the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Isaacs is proudly a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Working as a carpenter throughout college and for five years after, it was a life-changing accident that ultimately redirected Dr. Isaacs' love of construction to change its scale of building: from framing houses to framing faces with individual, beautiful, hand-crafted smiles. While there are similarities in the laws of physics between any construction career, it is the added benefit of helping people – children and adults – that Dr. Isaacs enjoys. His passion for his practice of orthodontics has taken him to be recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and awarded Baltimore's Best Orthodontist for many years. Both of his children, daughters Jessie and Annie, have also recognized the joy their father experiences in his practice of orthodontics to the extent that Jessie is practicing alongside her father as an orthodontist herself, and Annie is in pediatric dentist in the area. Both Jessie, Annie and Dr. Isaacs enjoy working on cases together! Mrs. Isaacs, Betsy, recently retired after 42 years as a teacher at Oldfields School, where she taughthigh school math as well as cross country. The entire family is constantly busy supporting Betsy and Pet Rescue of Maryland that she cofounded many years ago. This group specializes in abandoned animals, re-socializing them in foster homes – especially the Isaacs' home – and eventually finding their "forever" home. The Isaacs' are finding it more and more challenging to name these fosters as the number of placed dogs alone approaches 500.

Dr. Nawy relocated to Baltimore in 1997 to join the orthodontic practice of Drs. Solomon and Isaacs.
Dr. Nawy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the Deans Faculty at the University of Maryland Dental School. A believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Nawy attends over 100 hours of continuing education annually to stay current on the latest advances in orthodontics. He is a Platinum Plus Provider of Invisalign®, a distinction given to only 5% of practices worldwide.
"One of the most gratifying changes in the practice over the past 25 years has been the number of referrals we get from existing patients. The practice has always been blessed with the confidence shown by many area dentists to treat not only their patients, but their families as well. Those recommendations reinforce that we give excellent care. However, when existing patients send us their friends and neighbors, it tells us that they also enjoyed and valued the experience."
When he is not practicing or attending continuing education events, Dr. Nawy enjoys being outdoors, reading, spending time with family and cheering on the Ravens, the Florida Gators and UC Davis women's lacrosse.
